The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association:
Representing an Environment and Consumer Friendly Industry
The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) represents Canada’s leading manufacturers of paints and coatings, and their suppliers.
Policy, program delivery
The CPCA is governed by an elected Board of Directors. CPCA committees set policies and deliver programs in areas that include:
- Environment
- Health and safety
- Safe transport of goods
- Product stewardship
- Air quality
Regulatory, legislative counsel
Since 1913, the CPCA has added value in stakeholder consultations and meetings with government officials, to help develop federal and provincial legislation and regulations. It carries on this work today from its headquarters in Ottawa.
International representation
The CPCA is also active internationally. With sister associations in Asia, Australia, North America and South America, CPCA is a member of the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC). IPPIC offers a global forum in which to discuss and coordinate global paint industry policy.
