The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association:
Representing an Environment and Consumer Friendly Industry
The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA) represents Canada’s major paint and coatings manufacturers, and their industry suppliers.
Policy, program delivery
The CPCA is governed by an elected Board of Directors. CPCA committees set policies and deliver programs concerning:
- Health, Safety and the Environment
- Product Stewardship
- Management Information
- Suppliers
Regulatory, legislative counsel
Since 1913, the CPCA has added value in stakeholder consultations and meetings with government officials. Today, from its headquarters in Ottawa, the CPCA endeavours to create regulatory and policy frameworks that allow governments to meet environmental objectives and help industry meet business objectives.
International representation
The CPCA is active internationally. With sister associations in Asia, Australia, North America and South America, CPCA is a member of the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC). IPPIC offers a global forum in which to discuss and coordinate global paint industry policy.
